One of the main reason we started this site was simply that we had been following recipes for low carb and low fat meals and found that not all had a good grounding in actually being healthy and most importantly tasty!
So the obvious way of bringing all these low fat recipes that we enjoyed was to start a blog or website up to allow our visitors to assess many areas of how to eat well and healthily.
We try to provide the nutrition information where we can and also offer vegan and vegetarian recipes that are naturally low in fat and carbohydrates.

At Low Fat Recipes, we aim to offer you choice when it comes to your diet, a little secret is that the owner of this site is very good friends with a dietitian, and for most of the recipes on here advice has been offered on its suitability to be included, nutritional advice has been given where possible and we encourage you to do the same also when submitting recipe ideas.
Some of the recipes on here are user submitted so thank you to everyone who has added their own low calorie or low fat recipes.

The obvious aim of this site is to give our visitors a real choice when it comes to health eating, it is vitally important that we all look at just what we are putting into our mouths, the food options available are enormous nowadays and yet we still opt for poor quality fast food when we believe that food should be a part of the daily life as much as TV, i.e make some time for it!
And the excuse that a low fat diet means nasty tasting food or dull recipes is simply ridiculous, we are here to provide you with many recipe ideas that are all low in fat and healthy.
If you know of anyone who could do with looking at our site you can see that our recipes are all quality and where there is milk or butter or dairy we always suggest choosing the low fat alternative or a substitute that still has the good taste we know and love but reduces the fat content considerably so you can enjoy eating the food you like but not doing your body as much damage.
